Francisco Leon has worked in emergency services for over 18 years with the City of Yuma Fire Department. Most of his career was spent responding to calls on fire engines and ambulances, dealing with real emergencies on a daily basis.
Recently, he moved into a new role as a Public Information Officer, where he focuses more on communication, public outreach, and administrative work. Even though his role has changed, his experience in the field gives him a deep understanding of what EMTs go through every day.
His story matters because he’s seen both sides—the fast-paced emergency response and the communication behind the scenes.
